The look of the exposition and method of presenting the works tries to bring the gallery visitor as close as possible to the highest quality and most interesting pieces of the museum collection. The exposition includes mainly paintings and drawings presented chronologically from the renaissance to the most modern period, and sporadically complemented with several sculptural works. In this way the museum exposition shows the development and main artistic movements over the centuries and helps create a more precise image of the relationship between the centre and the surroundings as well as the development of art generally.
