Main Feature of the City

The tower of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is the tallest tower in the city, measuring 68.3 metres, of which the cupola is almost 24 metres. The dome at the top has a diameter of 1.2 metres and the cross at the tip is 5 metres tall. Visitors who manage to climb the 153 steps to the top will be able to view the city from a height of 35.3 metres, which is at an altitude of 513 metres above sea level. The 15^th line of longitude east of the meridian passes through the groin (corner) of the church.
